Coinbase Opts Out of ASI Token Migration Amid $7.5B Merger

Coinbase, a major crypto exchange, has declined to support the upcoming Artificial Superintelligence Alliance (ASI) migration. The ASI migration is associated with a $7.5 billion token consolidation of AI protocols SingularityNet, Fetch.ai, and Ocean Protocol. Ocean and Fetch.ai will be merged into AIS, but the company will not take action on that front.

Instead, the exchange recommends those who want to merge the tokens use wallets where they will be the ones to hold the keys, like the case with the Coinbase Wallet. The ASI token merger seeks to create a decentralized AI ecosystem that is the largest and is not controlled by a central source.
